I live in beautiful Penticton. I have a sweet little French bulldog named Axl. I enjoy travelling and camping in my free time, and I in the winter I enjoy baking or watching movies. I moved to the Okanagan in 2017 and now and I would definitely call it home.
My philosophy of teaching includes ensuring success for each and every student. I believe that all students are unique and have potential, and that it is my job to nurture each child and provide opportunities for them to reach their highest potential. I believe in inquiry based learning and learning through play. Children construct knowledge by interacting with others, and with their environment. I aim to expose them to carefully planned activities that foster their natural curiosity and desire to increase their understanding of the world through play and discovery.
Education is a partnership between school and home, so your involvement is essential. Please be involved as much as you can by talking to your child about what they have learned, reading to them daily, celebrating every accomplishment, and helping out whenever possible in the classroom.
I am looking forward to a very exciting year. Please contact me with questions or concerns at any time. Remember....we are in this together!
